Machine Pun Kelly
A hub for all of Kelly’s political hot takes, recipes, and really bad joke
Why This Site?
You’ve landed here, probably wondering: who is “Machine Pun Kelly,” and what exactly is this place? Fair question.
I’m a writer-turned-content creator. When the 2024 election results came in, I found myself thinking, Not again — though without the shock I felt back in 2016. When I saw “Who pays for tariffs?” trending the very next day, I wasn’t surprised by that either.
Here’s what I’ve come to understand: the problem isn’t just misinformation. It’s that accurate, substantive information is genuinely hard to find. Even outlets considered part of the “liberal media” let talking points like “open borders” and “Biden’s inflation” go largely unchallenged. Hot takes dominate. Real analysis doesn’t.
So I decided to do something about it — to dedicate serious time to learning, researching, and presenting information as clearly and honestly as I can.
I started with a Twitter/X account and a personal Facebook page, and no idea how to record a podcast or edit a video. Since then, I’ve built a presence across Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, BlueSky, and Substack, and I’m verified across all my Meta accounts and BlueSky (and was verified on Twitter back before you could pay for it). “The Pun Show,” my livestream, has been viewed over 300,000 times, and my videos have crossed 3 million views across platforms. All told, about 270,000 people follow my work.
I’m still building — but I know what I’m doing now.
What this site is meant to be is a hub. A place where the dashboards, slides, articles, explainer videos, and podcast episodes all connect. Where you can follow a thread from a headline to the data behind it, and actually understand what’s going on.
My goal isn’t to tell you what to think. It’s to give you the facts that too often get buried under the noise — because I believe that when people actually have access to good information, it speaks for itself.
So look around. Read. Watch. And if you catch something I’ve gotten wrong, leave a comment. I’m still learning too.
As the site grows, I’ll be adding deep-dive topic pages on things like the economy, the Israel-Gaza war, climate change, and more.
